LEUCO wants to thank the expert visitors for their votes.

The "LEUCO p-System Profile Cutter" revolutionizes in saw mills the removal of the wood edge before cutting off the side boards. So far, this process was made by means of a combination of wood chip knives and saw blades and after 60,000 running meters the machine had to be stopped to change the tools.
The "LEUCO p-System Profile Cutter" is a cutterhead with a completely new tooth geometry and methof of knife fixation. Thus, the customer reaches overwhelming edge lives: after 2,000,000 running meters the machine has to be stopped for the first time. However, only for turning the knives. In addition, a chip-free surface is reached and the chips can be directly used for pellet production.

The Innovation Symposium presents outstanding innovations which are a novelty for the industry segment. The presentations are based on extensive research of the organizers. The organizers are the trade magazines "Holz-Zentralblatt" and "Holz- und Kunststoffverarbeitung" published by the DRW-Verlag Weinbrenner GmbH & Co. KG as well as the Technical College of Rosenheim and the SCHULER Consulting GmbH, a business consultancy for the international woodworking and furniture industry. The question "Which is the most important innovation of the LIGNA 2013"? was answered by means of a multitude of criteria. Expert visitors voted for the leading innovations.
