NEW: LEUCO p-System Shank-type cutter for grooving

LEUCO will present a p-System grooving cutter at the LIGNA 2013. The tool achieves the p-System expected edge quality, for example with veneers, from 1mm minimum groove depth. As well as for jointing, dividing, chamfering and rebating, the shear cutting angle of ≥ 55° will be used for grooving for the first time.

From p-Tool to p-System

Peel cuts with the patented p-System is the revolutionary woodworking process in stationary or through-feed processing. The best available cutting quality and long tool life for materials and processes that were unthinkable up until now, can be achieved.  Until now, tools for jointing, dividing, chamfering and rebating were available for the p-System.

LEUCO will present the p-System grooving cutter at the LIGNA 2013.
The tool achieves the edge quality expected from the p-System, for example with veneers, from 1mm minimum groove depth. It is especially difficult to reach a good quality with such small groove depths using conventional tools. The p-System grooving cutter even allows flaws in the veneer to be milled and replaced. Naturally a wide range of pockets and recesses can also be milled using this tool.

At LEUCO, we understand the concept of a system as being the ability to successfully transfer tool parameters to the whole tool family or other tool groups. The LEUCO p-System tool main characteristic - a shear angle of ≥ 55°- has been transferred to a whole tool family.
